Do you offer consultations?

Yes! I first offer video/phone consultations, and then if you still have questions we can figure out a time for you to come by my studio.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Before your appointment, please be sure to avoid blood thinners, alcohol, ibuprofen, and any other pain relievers 24-48 hours before your appointment. Caffeine the day of the procedure may increase discomfort levels and blood flow. Exercising before the brows are done flaking will result in poor healed results. Retin A and fish oil must be stopped at least 10 days prior to the service. Botox administered within three weeks before the appointment will result in a reschedule. It is not advised to have your brows done before a vacation.

How long does permanent makeup last?

Brows can last up to 3-4 years and lips up to 5. Meaning that you’ll always have them but they will fade over time. So a color boost can be done no sooner than a year after your touch up. So thats why I say they last 1-3 years because that’s when most people need a color boost. Some people like to do them earlier, some later. Being exposed to the sun, anti-aging skin care products and medications can cause the pigment to fade faster as well. All skin and lifestyles are different so that’s why there’s a range. Permanent makeup is a low maintenance treatment, not NO- maintenance.

How long does it take to heal?

The healing process typically takes a complete 6-8 weeks. Minor swelling and irritation is normal, and the brows will appear darker than normal for 2-5 days. It is normal for the color to flake off and appear softer and less visible during the healing process, but the pigment will reappear in the following days.

Do I have to have a touchup?

This is a two step process, so a touchup is highly recommended in achieving the desired color/shape. Everyone heals and retains pigment differently, and the touchup allows us to reach your brow/lip goals,

Does it hurt?

Everyone experiences discomfort differently. Most people describe what they feel during the procedure as irritation, scratching, or a slight burning sensation (like a sunburn). I use topical anesthetic creams and gels before and during all procedures to numb the area and minimize discomfort. people have described the pain after the procedure to feel like a sunburn.

How long does it take?

The procedures take roughly 3 hours. This is a time estimate and varies from client to client.

Do I have to take off work?

No, there is no downtime associated with the tattooed eyebrow or lip procedure. Redness and swelling typically dissipate within an hour after.

Can I choose my shape?

I provide each of my clients an in-depth brow mapping and analysis. We will both work together to outline the perfect shape of brow that compliments both your facial structure and your personal style.

Is it reversible?

Receiving a permanent cosmetic procedure should be considered carefully and thoughtfully through. Any pigment being placed under the skin is permanent. There are a few different ways to lighten and lessen the pigment, however the results are never guaranteed and can be very damaging to the skin. Do not go into an appointment with the thought that it is reversible.
